Can I pay with my credit card at the ticket booth?
Credit Cards are now accepted at all of our locations.
Are there ATMs on the dock?
Grand Isle, VT – Plattsburgh, NY: ATMs are located on both docks.
Charlotte, VT – Essex, NY: An ATM is on the Essex dock only.
Do I need a reservation?
We do not take reservations for vehicles*. All vehicles are served on a first come, first served basis.

Can I take my dog across on the ferry?
Yes, dogs are allowed on the ferry but must be on a leash while on LCT property.
Is there a covered waiting area on the ferries?
Each ferry has a covered lounge with seating inside. Most lounges are located on the second deck of the vessel.
Do you offer a Commuter Discount?

Is there parking available to leave my car and walk across?
Grand Isle, VT – Plattsburgh, NY: There are parking lots on each side of this crossing. Your vehicle cannot stay on the dock for more than 72 hours.
Charlotte, VT – Essex, NY: There is a small parking lot on the Charlotte side, but there is no parking lot on the Essex dock.

Are there buses or shuttles that can take me to the airport?
No, there are no buses or shuttles that stop on the docks. If you need transportation from the dock, you will need to call a taxi.
Are there precautions I should take while riding the ferry?
As with any vessel, you should always conduct yourself with care while onboard, with extra attention to any children traveling with you. Please pay particular attention to doorway thresholds, and do not stand on stairs or at the top of stairs while the ferry is landing.
Do you accept Canadian Currency?
No, but we accept payment via credit card from our Canadian customers.
